Juniper's next-generation data center fabric, under development for several years as Project Stratus, appears ready for lift-off.

Juniper won't confirm one way or another, but the company has planned a media event for Wednesday in San Francisco for which it's advertising that "the world's first true data center fabric is coming." Responding to a request by CRN, Juniper representatives pointed to the event but declined to provide additional details.

Cisco (NSDQ:CSCO) Thursday went live with new products and services for enterprise video and digital signage, adding to several areas of its video portfolio the week before Cisco Partner Summit kicks off.

Chief among the releases is Cisco's TelePresence Content Server 5.0, a recording and video streaming platform through which users can record high-resolution TelePresence meetings and then review and play back the recording through Cisco's Show and Share technology.

It's really no secret that Cloud Networks, Virtualization and Mobility have become the biggest push in Tech for 2011. I'd also probably include Unified Communication to this list.
